What is the difference between a standard and a premium eye examination?
A standard eye test is a thorough 45-minute appointment covering refraction, visual fields, binocular pressure and a slit-lamp health check. A premium examination extends this to 60 minutes and adds OCT retinal imaging and Optomap wide-field scanning.
How often should I have a routine eye test?
Every two years for healthy adults under 40, and annually from age 40 onwards or if you have diabetes, glaucoma in the family, or wear contact lenses. Your optometrist will advise a recall interval based on your findings.
Do you test children?
Yes. We recommend a first eye test from around age three, or sooner if you have concerns. Children's eye examinations are NHS-funded and we have dedicated appointments designed for them.
